The long summer of the transfer market is ready to start with the first bang. Miralem Pjanic he is now very close to Juventus. The Bosnian midfielder from Roma, after yesterday's blitz of Beppe Marotta in the capital and the meeting with Sabatini, he would join Juventus for a sum between 30 and 35 million euros.
For Juve it would be a big blow, which confirms the habit of Marotta and his associates to close the business as soon as possible, without reducing to the drain on the market, and which risks further widening the gap with their direct rivals in Italy. Pjanic scored ten goals in the last championship and played his best season since he's been in Italy (2011), increasingly becoming a technical leader of Roma.
For the Giallorossi, therefore, it would be a very painful transfer, even if by now it seems obligatory: the player's termination clause (which Juve will not pay in full) will come down next year, and Pjanic's contract also expires in 2018 and the negotiations for the renewal promised to be at least complicated.
Obviously, James Pallotta's club would have preferred to sell their midfielder abroad, but the great European teams have not come forward with the same decision as Juventus, who are trying to close the deal as soon as possible, to give Allegri the man of quality, capable of playing both on the frontline and on the midline, that he was looking for.
For Juve fans, however, it could be half-hearted good news: for a Pjanic who arrives, in fact, there could be a Pogba which part. In Spain, in fact, they speak of the French midfielder as the "obsession" of his compatriot Zidane, who would like him at all costs in his Real Madrid, with whom the Morata question is also on the table.
An obsession, that of Zizou, which could lead to Juventus' coffers up to one hundred million euros, the most classic of offers that "cannot be refused". It would be the most expensive purchase ever, for a player that Juventus took for free. The deal of the century, but go explain that to the fans.
