Pisapia convinces Andrea Guerra, the former CEO of Luxottica moves to Bocconi

Among the many suitors, it is the mayor of Milan who convinces Andrea Guerra. After the historic farewell to Luxottica, the top manager received advances from everywhere, including Palazzo Chigi, but he chose to accept the proposal from Giuliano Pisapia, who offered him the seat of municipal representative on the board of directors of Bocconi University .

“Why don't you give us a hand with the city? – the mayor asked Guerra in a meeting held at Palazzo Marino, the seat of the Municipality, in early September -. For us, the relationship between the University and Milan is fundamental. Just as it is essential to valorise young talents”.

Guerra maintained intense relationships with the prestigious private Milanese university when he was CEO of the eyewear giant. For example, the partnership agreement with which Luxottica undertook to finance a scholarship program for the next five years dates back to May.

In all likelihood it will not be a full-time job and those who know him are certain that in Guerra's future there will be other high-profile managerial experiences. But someone also hypothesizes a candidacy for the seat of mayor of Milan in 2016.
