Pirelli & C. SpA has been recognized as a global leader in the fight against climate change by obtaining a place in the "Climate A list" drawn up by Cdp (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), the international non-profit organization that collects, disseminates and promote information on environmental issues. The “A” rating is the highest score that can be assigned to a company and takes into account the effectiveness of its efforts to reduce emissions and climate risks and to develop a low-carbon economy.
CDP's goal is to lead companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water resources and protect forests. The recognition by Cdp confirms Pirelli's commitment in the area of "Sustainability", where the company already boasts - among other things - the world leadership for the Automobiles & Components sector in the Dow Jones World and Europe indices.
