“Music is an original key to understanding the transformations of the contemporary factory”. From this concept starts Pirelli, which also in 2018 renews the partnership with the "Festival Mito Settembre Musica".
In particular, as part of the Festival, Pirelli will support the "Cacce" concert by the Royal Horns of the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Turin, which on September 17 at the Combo-Suoneria in Settimo Torinese, headquarters of the group's industrial hub, will perform music, among others, by Handel, Bach and Rossini.
The piece commissioned last year from Maestro Francesco Fiore, "Il Canto della Fabbrica", inspired by the sounds and rhythms of Pirelli's production (performed last September 8 as part of the Festival in world premiere by Maestro Salvatore Accardo and Orchestra da Camera Italiana) is instead the founding element of the homonymous book edited by the Pirelli Foundation and published by Mondadori.
The voices of intellectuals, musicians, industrialists and over 120 images from the Historical Archive of the Foundation (which this year celebrates 10 years of activity in support of the diffusion of corporate culture) tell the story of the changes in the contemporary factory and the new ways of representing it. The volume is completed by a DVD containing a documentary dedicated to the concert and the rebirth of the Polo Pirelli in Settimo Torinese by Renzo Piano.
