Pirelli: agreement with Rosneft for tire sales at service stations

The agreement between the two groups, signed by Marco Tronchetti Provera and Igor Sechin, provides for the sale of Pirelli tires at 1.700 Rosneft service stations – The two companies intend to pursue common marketing strategies, especially in the Krasnodar region.

They continue, after the joint venture signed by Saras, the agreements between Italian groups and the Russian oil giant Rosneft. Marco Tronchetti Provera, president and CEO of Pirelli, has in fact signed an agreement with Igor Sechin, president and coordinator of Rosneft which provides for “the sale of P long tires at Rosneft service stations and the development of joint commercial and marketing plans”.

The service stations that will sell Pirelli tires are 1.700, scattered throughout the country, while the joint commercial activities of the two groups will be mainly concentrated in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia, which will host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Tronchetti Provera and Sechin said they were very satisfied with the agreement reached, explaining that the main objective of the partnership is the sharing of experiences between the two companies.

In the morning, the Pirelli e C share lost 0,29% on the Stock Exchange, at 8,73 euros per share.
