Pir: Banca Sella also takes the field and launches two funds

Sella Gestioni launches its first PIRs (Piani Individuali di Risparmio), the new medium and long-term investment designed to direct subscribers' savings also towards small and medium-sized Italian companies. The Banca Sella Group company is among the first Italian asset management companies to offer its customers this new investment opportunity through two proposals that meet the different needs of savers:

"Balanced Investments Italy", already subscribed, dedicated to investors with a lower propensity to risk, invests in equity instruments, up to a maximum of 40%, bonds and monetary instruments denominated in euro.

"Equity Investments Italy", available from 6 April, however, it invests entirely in equity financial instruments denominated in euro. This new PIR class belongs to the historic Investimenti Azionario Italia equity fund which, thanks to a dedicated team of managers and analysts, has had a return 1994% higher than the benchmark since 40, the year of its creation.

The new products are mutual investment funds whose portfolio is invested according to the indications dictated by the legislation on PIRs: at least 70% in financial instruments issued by Italian or foreign companies with a permanent establishment in Italy. Furthermore, at least 21% of the total value of the fund is invested in financial instruments of companies other than those included in the Ftse Mib index.

There are many advantages for savers who invest in PIRs, starting from the tax benefits that these instruments allow: PIRs are in fact exempt from taxation of income generated by investments if certain conditions are met (maximum investment of 30 euros in the calendar year and up to a total of up to 150 euros over the life of the PIR provided that the investment is maintained for at least 5 years) and are not subject to inheritance tax. The instrument is also accessible to everyone, thanks to the possibility of investing small amounts: the minimum investment is in fact 50 euros through the Pac (accumulation plan) and 500 euros through the Pic (capital investment plan). Other strengths are given by transparency, thanks to the daily valuation of the investment and by the effective management of volatility and risk thanks to a careful diversification of the selected financial assets. It is also possible to disinvest even before 5 years, without penalties, except for giving up the tax advantages.

“The PIRs were born with the 2017 Budget Law – he explained Nicola Trivelli, managing director and general manager of Sella Gestioni – and represent an initiative aimed at financing Italian companies, in particular medium and small caps, thus stimulating the real economy. As an Italian asset management company – continues Trivelli – Sella Gestioni has been operating on the market for more than 30 years and this consolidated know-how has been our strong point in the creation of PIRs, identifying two proposals to satisfy every need. Our experience in the area - concludes Trivelli - consolidated by periodic meetings with companies and by a profound knowledge of the Italian productive fabric, allows us to make targeted choices by orienting ourselves towards companies with greater growth potential with the aim of creating value in the medium/long term. Active portfolio management also makes it possible to periodically change the selected financial assets based on current positive trends”.
