Piazza Affari between profits and strong volatility, Asia is doing well

Day of realizations in Piazza Affari. In the middle session of the week, after the big gains on Monday and Tuesday, it is time for consolidation for the Milan Stock Exchange, which at the end of the morning lost just under half a percentage point, falling back to around 16.600 points. The other European lists are not particularly buoyant either, all floating around very slight gains or losses: London -0,11%, Frankfurt -0,2%, Paris +0,04%.

In Milan mixed morning for the banks, great protagonists of the movements of the last sessions: while the Popular take your breath away, with losses between 2 and 3% at the end of the morning, continues to push Mps which is the best title of the Ftse Mib with +10% after touching also +13%, followed at a distance by Mediobanca with an increase of almost 2%. Eyes always focused on Unicredit after double flash release of 10% of FinecoBank and of the Polish subsidiary Pekao: today the share of Piazza Gae Aulenti is slightly down but resists above 2 euros per share at 2,092 euros when it is 11,10. Intesa Sanpaolo was also in the red, losing one percentage point to 1,9 euros per share.

Among the worst titles too Telecom Italy, which dropped almost 3% to 0,67 euro after the rating agency Moody's yesterday confirmed the "Ba1" rating assigned to the TLC, but the outlook remained negative. Contrast the energetics: Eni in negative territory as Saipem shines, gaining more than 3% despite a slow day for the Petroleum, which continues its downtrend. Today Brent is worth 47,62 dollars a barrel, while WTI is about to drop below 46.

It goes up a little Btp Bund spread, which stood at around 134 basis points in the morning. The euro-dollar exchange rate was stable at around 1.105. China and Hong Kong closed the day higher, on the heels of Wall Street and as a result of a certain widespread confidence. On the macro front, Istat confirmed inflation to +0,1% in June while in May in the euro area la industrial production it fell by 1,2% and in the EU by 1,1%. In April, it had increased by 1,4% and 1,5% respectively. Compared to a year earlier, it increased by 0,5% in the euro area and by 1,1% in the EU. This was revealed by Eurostat, according to which in Italy production fell by 0,6% both compared to April and compared to May 2015.
