Piazza Affari queen of Europe: FtseMib at 22 thousand on the wings of the banks

Banco Bpm drags the banking sector upwards and makes Piazza Affari the pink jersey of Europe with an increase of 0,43% - Unicredit, Fineco, Poste Italiane, Mediaset and Ferragamo also do well - Sales on Campari, Bper, Luxottica, Tenaris and Leonardo.

Piazza Affari exceeds the psychological threshold of 22.000 points and closes up by 0,43% (22.031), marking a new annual high. The Ftse Mib is the best among the main European lists, held back by the unexpected drop in German industrial production in June. Frankfurt's Dax 30 feels the pinch and stops in the red by 0,33%. In addition, Bafin, the supervisory body of the German Stock Exchange, opens a formal investigation against Daimler and Volkswagen for a possible infringement of the market disclosure rules, in connection with suspicions of a cartel agreement. 

Shy Paris, +0,09%, better Madrid +0,17% and London +0,27%. On the macro front, the Fitch rating agency revises its growth estimates for world GDP upwards, estimating +3% for 2017 (from +2,9%) and +3,2% in 2018 (+3,1 ,XNUMX%).

Wall Street opens cautiously, with the thermometer of tension with North Korea showing fever. The Dow Jones seems tempted by a new record, it would be the tenth in a row. At the moment, the list of the 30 main American stocks is slightly above parity, as is the S&P 500; the Nasdaq is more tonic. Investor focus on companies' roundup of accounts continues. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sell-off prevailed today after a decline in second-quarter earnings.

The euro-dollar exchange rate is 1,788 and marks a slight advantage for the single currency (+0,11%). Oil is nervous, falling back as the two-day event, today and tomorrow, in Abu Dhabi gets underway, where the OPEC-Non-OPEC technical committee is holding meetings on oil production and on the agreement to reduce output. In the equity sector, some bankers stand out. In particular Unicredit +2,57% and Banco Bpm +2,52%, still in the wake of last week's news and accounts. It should be recalled that the good quarterly results pushed the main Milan listing by 2,36 in the last octave. In the sector Bper closed down -1,35%.

Poste Italiane +1,39% and Finecobank +1,07% rise in asset management. In fashion, Ferragamo +0,79% is well suited.
