Positive morning in Piazza Affari for Monte dei Paschi e Banca Carige which recorded important progress in the wake of the go-ahead from the ECB board to the recovery plans presented by the two credit institutions.
At 11 am, the Mps share gained 0,7% to 0,5750 euros. The Banca Carige share gains more than two percentage points and a share is worth 0,06 cents.
The confidence of the markets passes above all from that granted by the board of the ECB which approved the recovery plans of all the 13 European banks for which the comprehensive assessment of the Eurotower had identified capital shortages.
The plan of Monte dei Paschi will lead to a capital increase of 2,5 billion euro. Carige has planned a recapitalization of 650 million euros, in addition to the sale of assets.
