TELECOM, GTECH AND INTESA RELEASE THE BULL. RAIN OF PROFITS ON WALL STREET: BLACKROCK FLYS

Piazza Affari accelerates in the final on the wave of corporate data arriving from Wall Street. The Milanese price list thus closes a memorable session: +3,17% Ftse Mib index again above 21 thousand points at 21.069. The other markets were also brilliant: Paris +1,44%, Frankfurt +1,4% and Madrid +1,62% London closed at +1,02%. Lisbon also rebounded +2,9% after the government guaranteed intervention in favor of Banco do Espirito Santo +16% after the news of the parachute. 

The Dow Jones rose by 0,2% to 17.100 points after reaching 17.135 points at the start of the session, a new all-time high. The Nasdaq rebounds (+0,35%) following the slide caused by Janet Yellen's warnings about alleged overvaluations in certain segments of the stock market. The S&P500 index marks a rise of 0,2%. American stock markets are supported by Blackrock and BofA accounts that are better than expected, while contrasting indications have arrived from the macroeconomic front. Intel rides on strong second quarter performance. Janet Yellen speaks to the House, awaiting the Beige Book in the evening.

The yield on the 10-year BTP drops by 4 basis points to 2,80%. The spread narrows to 161 basis points. The 1,19-year Bund yields 7,51%. The undisputed star of the session was Telecom Italia +3%. Several factors contributed to favoring the rally: the possible marriage between Wind and 80, the movements in the world of communications, with frequent crossings between content producers and TLCs. Yesterday the news of Rupert Murdoch's rejected mega-offer for Time Warner (XNUMX billion dollars) caused a sensation. Finally, the operators are betting on the next changes in the shareholding structure, linked to the Brazilian plot.

In this context, the other titles in the sector wake up: Mediaset rises by 1,74%. Telecom Italia Average +7%. GTech also stood out +4,18%, after the announcement of the purchase for 4,7 billion dollars (6,4 billion including debt) of the American International Game Technologies, world leader in slot machines and game. Gtech will pay in cash and stock. The two companies will merge into a newly established holding company incorporated under English law. At the end of the merger, Gtech will no longer be listed on the Piazza Affari.

In luxury, Ferragamo gains 4,5% after the promotion of Société Générale which raised its recommendation to Hold da Sell. The rebound of the Florentine fashion house gave wings to the sector: Yoox +4,8%, Tod's +2,2%, Moncler +2%. Positive day for the banking sector: Unicredit +2%, on the day the offers for Uccmb close. Intesa stands out +4,27%% on the wings of the buy of Deutsche Bank. The Popolari were brilliant: Ubi +4,9% and Banco Popolare +6%, Pop.Milano +2,9%.

Positive day also for the insurance companies. Generali rises by 1,8%. UnipolSai +1,4%, Cattolica Assicurazioni +2,5%. The increase involved all sectors to a certain extent: among the utilities Enel gains 1,9%, A2A +3,7%, Snam +1%. Eni rises by 1,7% while Brent oil futures trade at 106 dollars a barrel (+0,1%). Good rise of StM +4%, encouraged by the growing results announced by Intel. Among industrial stocks, Fiat +0,7%, Finmeccanica +2,4%, Prysmian +3,9%.
