MPS +6,3% LEADS THE CHARGE OF BANKS

On the eve of the start of the quarterly campaign, Wall Street is starting to feel the stress of the budget comparison: 29 out of 30 blue chips are down. Indices lose Dow Jones lose just over half a percentage point.

First of all, the Italian index was driven by the bank stocks, in the wake of Monte Paschi +6,26%, on the day of the approval of the new plan agreed with the EU.

In great dust also the Popular after the governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, repeated the need for an upcoming transformation of the system according to the spa model: Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna +2,31%, Banco Popolare +3,68%, Ubi +4,68%.

Among the insurance Generali + 0,71%. Fondiaria-Sai + 2,58%.

The market has rewarded Finmeccanica +3,54%, after the sale of the subsidiary Ansaldo Energia. Ansaldo Sts gained 0,28%.

Pirelli up 2,17% after that Mediobanca raised the rating and the target price.

World Duty Free runs, up 5,4%. Rest it is unchanged.

Fiat + 1,04%. Cnh Industrial loses 1,94%.

Down Telecom Italy -1,72%.

Campari loses 1,9%: the Italian government plans to raise taxes on alcohol. Luxury stocks are also weak. Tod’s -1,52% Salvatore Ferragamo -0,84% Luxottica -1,56% Yoox -0,5%.
