On Friday 14 February the voting operations for the approval of the 1st company contract of the Piaggio & C. spa Group, which saw the involvement of all the workers of the Piaggio, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi plants. Voter participation was very high. They participated in the vote n. 2.225 equal to 70,7% of those entitled, with the following result:
- for the SI no. 1.576 votes equal to 71,3%
- For NO no. 635 votes equal to 28,7%
In all the Piaggio Group plants, the YES vote was won in all the group plants and participation in the vote was 70,7%, higher than 50% of those entitled.
With the favorable vote of the majority of Piaggio employees, a long company negotiation that lasted over 2 and a half years was concluded positively, which saw the participation of the FIM-FIOM-UILM delegations from all the plants of the Group: Pontedera, Noale and Scorzè, Mandello del Lario. The male and female workers of the group were able to positively acknowledge the difficult negotiation which brought about objective economic improvements and advantages on the regulatory side.
The national secretariats of FIM, FIOM and UILM express strong satisfaction due to the result obtained and the broad support expressed by the workers with the favorable vote, at the same time they consider the contribution to the negotiation given by the delegations of the RSU of all the Italian plants to be fundamental, which through strong united work have made it possible to overcome the the most critical phases of the negotiation, renewing the Piaggio Group company contract after more than 11 years.
