Piaggio: Vespa brand sales record with over 158 units in 10 months

A record level for the Vespa brand which registered over 158 units from January to October of this year, with an increase of 20.600 units compared to a year earlier.

This figure confirms the brand's progress over the past ten years: from 2004, when total sales reached 58.000 units, they rose to 100.000 in 2006, 122.000 in 2009 and 165.000 Vespas produced in 2012, a record that is about to be broken in 2013. In less than ten years, from 2004 January 31 to 1.207.827 October this year, a total of XNUMX Vespas were sold worldwide.

And these days the new Vespa Primavera is being marketed, on display at the Salon de la Moto in Paris, open to the public from 3 to 8 December. Produced in the Piaggio Group plants in Pontedera (PI), for all the markets of the Western world, for the first time in Vespa history the Primavera was in fact also born in parallel in the Vinh Phuc plant near Hanoi, where the Piaggio Group produces its scooters destined for the markets of Vietnam and South-East Asia.

Radically new design, new body entirely made of steel, new dimensions, but still compact and agile.

Piaggio France is the leader in the Hexagon with a 22,9% market share and 32% in the over 50 segment. Piaggio is also present at the French show with the Piaggio Mp3, the three-wheeled scooter, and the most recent Aprilia and Guzzi motorcycles.
