Piaggio: Fim Cisl wins the RSU elections, beaten by Fiom

For the first time in the history of the Pontedera-based company, Fim Cisl surpasses Fiom, with 34,1% of the votes and 10 union representatives – Fim Cisl general secretary Marco Bentivogli: “Fiom's positions are too extreme and ideological . We need concrete action for contractual results".

La Fim Cisl won the elections Unitary Union Representation di Piaggio. For the acronym it is a first time: never, in the course of the history of the Pontedera-based company, had the Fim Cisl obtained the majority of consents and representation, respectively 646 votes equal to 34,1% of the total and 10 union representatives .

Piaggio had always been one Fiom stronghold, as he also explains in the note released by Ferdinando Uliano, Fim Cisl National Secretary: "Fim Cisl wins at Piaggio grows in both the workers' and employees' constituencies of the Tuscan Piaggio site, obtaining the highest number of votes".

The explanation of the result, according to the Secretary General of Fim Cisl Marco Bentivogli, lies in the “extreme and ideological positions taken by Fiom. Today's result is the demonstration that ideological battles are increasingly considered an obstacle for any contractual result, but it is the concrete daily union action and the determination for one's own ideas that brings results to the workers”.
