Piaggio Aerospace, 12,6 million agreement with Enav

Piaggio Aerospace announced today that it has been awarded a contract for the maintenance of the P.180s owned by ENAV, the company that manages civil air traffic in Italy.

The agreement, with an estimated duration of approximately 7 years, has a total value of 12,6 million euros and will guarantee "turnkey" maintenance (integrated logistics support) of the entire fleet, four P.180 Avanti IIs used for radio-measurement activities on airports.

"The agreement signed today is a further step forward in the process of relaunching Piaggio Aerospace and in particular in the process of strengthening the Genoa hub", commented Vincenzo Nicastro, Extraordinary Commissioner di Piaggio Aerospace: "a confirmation of the skills that the company is able to express also in the aircraft maintenance sector and of the contribution it can bring to the economy of the city of Genoa as a whole".

The P.180s used by ENAV carry out an average of 1.800 flight hours a year. Specially set up, they allow you to perform in-flight checks to ensure maximum efficiency of the radio aids (Radar, VOR, DME, VDF, ILS, etc.) necessary for air navigation. The equipment of the aircraft allows all checks to be carried out without equipment installed on the ground, obtaining results in real time and always in line with international standards.
