Philips closed the second quarter with a net profit down by 23% per annum, to 243 million euros, on a turnover down by 5%, to 5,3 billion. This was communicated by the Dutch electronics giant, specifying that Ebitada fell to 415 million, from 601 million a year earlier, however - excluding restructuring and acquisition costs - the figure reaches 449 million, equal to 8,5, 9,4% of sales (XNUMX%).
During this period, the company claims that it "continued to experience difficulties: a slowdown in some markets, unfavorable exchange rates, the voluntary suspension of production at the Cleveland plant" in the United States. The group believes that the whole of 2014 will be a "difficult" year.
