Philip Morris Italy wins the Top Employer 2018

The certification issued by the Top Employers Institute recognizes the good working conditions in the two Italian affiliates of Philip Morris International and the importance that the two companies attribute to personnel training and development policies - One billion invested in the Crespellano plant since 2016, with over 1.200 hires.

Philip Morris Italy and Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna received the “Top Employer” certification for the ninth and fifth consecutive year, respectively.

The certification issued from the Top Employers Institute confirms the good working conditions in the two Italian affiliates of Philip Morris International, the leading company in the tobacco sector, which since 2008 has invested more than 3 billion dollars in research and development of alternative products to cigarettes, with the commitment to at the forefront of helping build a smoke-free future.

The certification awarded to Philip Morris Italia and Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna, in addition to the excellent working conditions offered, recognized the importance that the company attaches to personnel training and development policies, and their diffusion at all company levels, as well as the multitude of wellness and well-being strategies implemented by the Human Resources department, which demonstrate how much the company is a leader in this sector.

Last June, Philip Morris International renewed its commitment in Italy doubling its investment in the production plant in Crespellano (Bologna), inaugurated in 2016. The enlargement, which brought the total investment to 1 billion ea more than 1200 hires, confirms the multinational's willingness to build a smoke-free future, in which the so-called reduced-risk products*, made right in the Bologna area for worldwide marketing and already present in more than 30 markets, will replace combustion products. Philip Morris International, international leader in the tobacco sector, employs more than 80.000 people worldwide, of which more than 2000 in Italy alone.
