Gasoline stocks also increased, registering an increase of 1,4 million barrels, while distillate stocks decreased by 3,6 million.

US oil, EIA: inventories +1,8 million barrels

Weekly crude inventories up and gasoline stocks in the United States, while those of distillates are decreasing. According to the EIA, a division of the US Department of Energy, oil reserves in the week ending October 28, 2011 grew by 1,8 million barrels, to 339,5 mbd, against the 1,1 million consensus.

Also on the rise stock of petrol, which recorded an increase of 1,4 million barrels, to 206,3 mbd (-0,6 million compared to market expectations), while the distillate stocks they marked a drop of 3,6 million to 141,9 mbd (-1,5 million analysts' expectations). Strategic oil reserves were unchanged from the previous week, coming in at 696 mbd.
