Oil: the WTI reaches its lowest point since 2003

The oil crash does not stop. After attempting to recover yesterday in the wake of the unexpected drop in US inventories, crude oil once again took the downward path, closing at its lowest level since May 2003 and below the threshold of 27 dollars a barrel.

Concerns about a global supply glut weigh heavily. WTI contracts in March, after clearing operations, closed on the Nymex down 4,5%, 1,24 dollars, at 26,21 dollars a barrel.

This morning the Wti is traveling at 27,48 dollars a barrel, the Brent at 31,55.
