The price of crude oil marks a clear increase following the military attack launched by a coalition led by Saudi Arabia against the rebels in Yemen - Fuel prices were essentially stable.

Leap forward for the price of crude oil, which scores a 6% markup, following the attacks by the Saudi Arabian-led coalition on the Houthi rebels in Yemen. The May future on WTI gains 6,5% to 52,43 dollars, while that on Brent rises by 5,6% to 59,65 dollars.

The speculations that began after the news from the Gulf therefore dragged oil to lhighest levels for just under four weeks, allowing the reference delivery of the WTI to register the largest gain in five days since February 2009: moreover, since March 19, the contract expiring in May has appreciated by 20%.

A series of reactions, as mentioned, triggered by the military intervention launched by Saudi Arabia in Yemen against the Shiite rebels supported by Iran, in an operation which, in addition to military forces, has mobilized numerous allied countries, such as Egypt, Arabia Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan, Pakistan and Morocco.

The military attack has had strong repercussions on the markets, but, for the moment, not on the price of fuel, which marks a slight rise in petrol and a slight drop in diesel, as reported by the monitoring of Quotidiano Energia.

The national average price practiced in self mode of the petrol fluctuates from 1,565 to 1,595 euro/litre (no-logo 1,541) while for the Diesel average prices rose from 1,432 to 1,459 euro/litre (no-logo to 1,410). As regards, however, the mode served, for green the average national prices charged range from 1,625 to 1,722 euro/litre (no-logo at 1,573), diesel from 1,488 to 1,580 euro/litre (no-logo at 1,440) and LPG from 0,624 to 0,657 euro/litre (no-logo at 0,613).
