La Croatia communicated the assignment of 10 licenses for the 'oil and gas exploration in the Adriatic Sea. One of these licenses has been assigned to a consortium formed by Eni and the London-based Medoilgas.
Seven licenses went to a consortium formed by the American Marathon Oil and the Austrian Omv while Ina, controlled by the Croatian government and the Hungarian Mol, was awarded the other two licenses.
The Croatian government has set April 2 as the deadline for signing exploration agreements with successful candidates.
