Pesenti, former president of the trade union pact, says yes to the capital increase of RCS

"We will certainly be at the meeting, I'm not going personally but our arrangement is to vote yes because I believe that the company needs the capital increase". Giampiero Pesenti, chairman of Italmobiliare, declared that he was in favor of the capital increase of RCS. The board of directors of the finance company will then decide on the possible subscription in the first half of June. For Italmobiliare, it would involve a commitment quantified at around 30 million euros, "a fairly significant figure these days", commented Pesenti again.

Pesenti, until May 17, he was chairman of the shareholders' agreement of Rcs Mediagroup. When he made this decision, he spread the rumor that the reason was due to differences of views of the partners. But Pesenti was keen to clarify today: “I have not resigned, I have only left the presidency. And the cause is not the internal dissensions of society. I examined my conscience: the situation is certainly not easy, the publishing world is not going through an easy time, print media is in a decline, information is given today by other means and perhaps here RCS is a a little late even if now trying to catch up. I believe that the president of the Pact has to give a lot, it takes a considerable effort that I didn't feel like giving. We have our own companies to follow and I've even reached a certain age - best left to someone with more time. In the newspapers there was talk of differences of views which led me to this decision. There are always differences of views but they weren't the ones that prompted me to make this decision".

The Rcs Mediagroup share, in the early hours of the afternoon, lost 0,14% of its value.
