Pensions June 2024, will there be increases? And when will the payment arrive? Here's what you need to know

for June 2024 pensions there are two news concerning i payments and amounts. Since June 1st falls on a Saturday and June 2nd, a public holiday, falls on a Sunday, the credit to the bank account will take place on Monday 3rd June. Those who collect their pensions at the post office will be able to do so from 1 June (morning). In June, there will be a recalculation of amounts paid between March and April, integrating the increases provided for by the recent Irpef reform. While the annual revaluation has had an effect on all pensions, the reduction in personal income tax will only be visible for some pensioners with a certain income.

Pensions June 2024: how to check the amounts and any increases?

One of the main things to know concerns the recalculation of the amount paid between March e April, which will take into account the increases introduced by Irpef reform of 2024. However, there is a small caveat: not all retirees will receive a raise. Those who are waiting for arrears will see a small increase in their June payslip, while those who have already received them will not have any further increases. For a substantial increase you will have to wait for the fourteenth, paid to those entitled in the July payslip.

To check whether you will have a (small) increase, you can consult the gross and net monthly amounts, including increases, tax withholdings and withholdings, via the “ObisM” model. This online service ofINPS it is available to all pensioners, including those of the former Inpgi 1 management which merged with the INPS from July 2022. The pension certificate is not issued for pension support benefits which are not re-evaluated annually. Furthermore, the model is updated on the date of the interested party's request and published annually considering the revaluation of pensions and welfare benefits.

How much do pensions increase?

The increases due to revaluation of pensions in 2024 (+5,4%) vary based on the amount of the pension and the new Irpef brackets. For example, pensions up to 4 times the minimum increased by 100%, while those above 10 times the minimum saw an increase of 32%.

La new Irpef table introduces brackets that provide differentiated rates based on income. For incomes up to 15 thousand euros, the rate remains at 23%, while for incomes up to 28 thousand the rate has gone from 25% to 23% (in 2024). Instead it remained unchanged for incomes within 50 thousand (35%) and for those above (43%).

According to the INPS tables, the increases expected are the following:

  • A gross increase of 54 euros per month for amounts of one thousand euros.
  • An increase of 81 euros per month for amounts of 1.500 euros.
  • A gross increase of 108 euros per month for amounts of 2 thousand euros.
  • A gross increase of 114,75 euros per month for amounts of 2.500 euros.
  • A gross increase of 85,8 euros per month for amounts of 3 thousand euros.
  • A gross increase of 88,55 euros per month for amounts of 3.500 euros.
  • A gross increase of 101,2 euros per month for amounts of 4 thousand euros.
  • A gross increase of 100 euros per month for amounts of 5 thousand euros.
  • A gross increase of 71,40 euros per month for amounts of 6 thousand.

These examples show how increases are differentiated based on the amount of the pension.
