The decree on the automatic revaluation of pensions and on partial repayment of arrears it's been law since yesterday afternoon. The ceiling for the restitution of the non-indexation of pensions in 2012 and 2013, caused by a provision of the then Monti Government, was set at 40% while the 100% inflation adjustment is valid only for pensions up to 3 times the minimum. But let's see specifically what the decree provides with regard to the repayment of arrears. The INPS has already issued directives to the offices with one circular dated 25 June.
On August 3,7, XNUMX million retirees they will get up to a maximum of 40% of the 2012 and 2013 arrears. Who is interested in this measure? These are those who were already retired in the two-year period 2012-2013 with a check between 1500 and 3000 euros gross. The measure was taken after the sentence of the Constitutional Court which rejected the blockade of the Monti-Fornero reform.
The partial repayment of the amounts will be inversely proportional to the amount of the pension allowance. What does it mean?
