Here comes the long-awaited revaluation of pension checks, for those who have not yet benefited from them, with the payment of pensions di March 2023. Increases and arrears, in fact, had to be paid with the monthly salary of February, but due to the technical times for the recalculation of the increase they have been postponed by a month. But when does the March pension payment arrive? Disbursements take place on the first bankable day of each month; therefore, payments will start on Wednesday 1st March, for payments credited to Poste Italiane, and on Friday 3rd March for payments to credit institutions. It has communique the same Inps with some important clarifications. It is good to clarify, however, that not everyone will benefit from "richer" checks. That's who the pension increases will go to in March 2023.
In January 2023, according to the budget law, the pension revaluation system changed, now based on six income brackets, and the adjustment of pensions to inflation started. The first to benefit from it were those who have a pension income of up to four times the minimum (about 526 euros), to the extent of 100%, who therefore already received the allowance increased by 7,3% in January. In fact, pensions up to a gross value of up to 2.100 euros have been recognized with a full revaluation (about 153 euros). Now, it's up to the richest pensions, exceeding 2.101,52 € (i.e. four times the minimum). The pension amount was therefore updated from March 2023 and the backlog of equalization referring to the months of January and February 2023 (which did not include the due revaluation).
Follow the new ones brackets for the revaluation of pensions:
- 100% re-evaluation for treatments up to 4 times the minimum;
- 85% reevaluation for treatments between 4 and 5 times the minimum;
- reevaluation of 53% for treatments between 5 and 6 times the minimum;
- reevaluation of 47% for treatments between 6 and 8 times the minimum;
- reevaluation of 37% for treatments between 8 and 10 times the minimum;
- 32% reevaluation for treatments over 10 times the minimum.

Pensions March 2023, when does it arrive? Payment schedule
As already said, the payment of the March 2023 pension will take place with a value date of 1 March for payments credited to the Italian Post Office (with a value date of 3 March for payments to credit institutions). Also starting from Wednesday 1 March it will be possible to collect your pension at the post offices, according to the usual alphabetical shift. Below is the list of payments:
- Wednesday 1st March for surnames from A to B;
- Thursday 2 March for surnames from C to D;
- Friday 3 March for surnames from E to K;
- Saturday 4 March (only in the morning) for surnames from L to O;
- Monday 6 March for surnames from P to R;
- Tuesday 7 March for surnames from S to Z.
Pensions March 2023: those who are not entitled to increases and arrears
In March 2023, pension increases will arrive, but not for everyone. Benefits paid by optional insurances are excluded from this equalization (Vobis, Iobis, vmp e Imp), the pensions paid by the Clergy Fund and former Enpao (Cl e Yours), compensation for cessation of commercial activity (Indcom), which are equalized individually. As well as assistance services (As, Ps e Invciv) and the pensions that benefit from the benefits provided for the victims of acts of terrorism and massacres of this origin, which are re-evaluated individually and with their own criteria.
Furthermore, INPS also specified that benefits accompanying retirement such as theSocial bee, which are not revalued for their entire duration.
INPS recalls that the percentage of variation for the calculation of the equalization of pensions for the year 2022 is determined in an amount equal to +7,3% from 2023 January XNUMX, "except for the adjustment to be made during the equalization for the next year".
Tax withholdings and balance
As regards the taxable services starting from the January pension, in addition to the monthly Irpef, the regional surcharges e municipal relating to 2022. These deductions are made in 11 installments in the year following the one to which they refer.
The Institute also underlined that for pensioners who receive a total annual treatment of up to 18 thousand euros, for whom the final recalculation of the tax withholdings relating to 2022 has resulted in a debt adjustment of an amount exceeding 100 euros, continues the installment of recovery up to the month of November (article 38, paragraph 7, law 122/2010).
The sums subject to adjustment, specifies the INPS, will be certified in the Unique Certification 2023. While civil invalidity services, pensions or social allowances, services not subject to taxation for particular reasons (tax reduction for foreign residence, victims of terrorism) are not subject to tax withholdings.
