Pensions, Inps: 65 billion spent on state funds

In 2014 the increase was 0,75% compared to the previous year – The largest number of pensions is paid by the State Employees Pension Fund (CTPS): followed by the Local Authorities Pension Fund (CPDEL), the Pension Fund Healthcare (CPS), the Teachers Pension Fund (CPI) and the Judicial Officers Pension Fund.

The pensions disbursed by INPS Management of Public Employees as at 2015 January 2.818.300 amounted to 0,16, 1% more than those in force as at 2014 January 65. Overall expenditure amounted to almost 0,75 billion euro, an increase of XNUMX .XNUMX% over the previous year. These are some of the data that can be read on the Public Employee Management Observatory, published on the INPS website.

An analysis of the data relating to the individual Funds shows that the largest number of pensions, 1.677.746, is paid by the State Employees Pension Treatment Fund (CTPS), followed by the Local Authorities Pension Fund (CPDEL), with 1.054.013 pensions disbursed by the Healthcare Pension Fund (CPS), with 68.540, by the Teacher Pension Fund (CPI), with 15.095, and by the Judicial Officers Pension Fund (CPUG) with 2.906 pension benefits.

The expenditure for pensions provided by the CTPS is 40,8 billion, equal to about 63% of the total, while that for the CPDEL is 21,1 billion (31%). The remaining 6% of expenditure, equal to almost 4 billion, is divided among the other three Banks. The average monthly gross amount of pensions paid is 1.772,9 euros. The average amount is higher for men, 2.175,1 euros against 1.486 euros for women. The latter represent 58,4% of total pensioners but receive, on average, a pension equal to 68,3% of that of males.

The number of new pensions paid in 2014 was 100.806 units, of which approximately 60% in the CTPS, 36% in the CPDEL and the remaining 4% in the other three Funds. The breakdown by type of pension shows that 41% of the total are old age/early pensions, 13,4% old age pensions, 7,3% disability and 38,2% survivors. Expenditure on new pensions paid out was almost 2,5 billion euros, equal to about 4% of total expenditure. The average monthly amount of pensions paid in 2014 amounted to 1.872,8 euros, 6% more than the average amount referring to the entire complex of current pensions.
