Pensions 2017, Inps: neither adjustments nor cuts

Also in 2017 Italian pensions will remain unchanged: neither increases nor cuts are foreseen. This was confirmed by INPS, explaining in a circular that the decree of the Ministry of the Economy did not provide for any "increase in automatic equalization to be attributed to pensions, definitively, for 2016": the minimum treatment therefore remained at 501,89, 2017 euros and the provisional values of 2016 are identical to the final ones of XNUMX.

The situation is a little more complicated as regards the 2015 recoveries, which had been blocked in 2016 and postponed to 2017. In theory, considering that the inflation recorded in 2015 was lower than expected, from April the INPS should recover 0,1% of pensions in four installments.

However, the Ministry of Labor has announced an amendment to the Milleproroghe decree to further postpone the recovery. The reaction of the unions was positive: "We learn with great satisfaction the decision of Minister Poletti", comments the general secretary of the Cisl Pensionati, Gigi Bonfanti. "Well. Now we are waiting to see the amendment to the Milleproroghe”, underlines the general secretary of Spi-Cgil, Ivan Pedretti.
