Inps pension: online the new version of "Think of me" to find out when to retire

When will I retire? And how much will I take? These are recurring questions which, between hypotheses and fears, are becoming increasingly popular even among young people. L'INPS has made available on its website a new version of “Think of me – Tailor-made pension“, which allows citizens to calculate their pension prospects without the need to make any registration. You read it in one note in which it is underlined that the simulator, which can be used by entering a few personal and contribution-related data, provides information regarding the pensions which can be accessed both in the individual pension managements and by accumulating the entire contribution, but not the amounts of the benefits. Here's how to simulate your pension through INPS's "Think of me".

When will I retire? Worrying data for young people

Bad news for the young. For a worker which today it has 25 years and started working for a year, if the years of contributions are less than 20 years but more than 5, according to the simulation, the wait for the old age pension will be extended up to 74 years and 10 months. While for the anticipated one you will have to wait for seventy years and rest for old age at 70 years and six months, provided that contributions are made for at least 46 years and 4 months in the first case and over 20 years in the second.

For the thirties the situation is hardly heartening. A worker born in 1990 will retire (old age) at the age of 70 if he/she has at least 20 years of contributions, and retire with early retirement with 45 years of contributions paid regardless of age. He will be able to retire at 66 years and 10 months if he has accrued a pension check equal to at least 2,8 times the minimum pension amount and has at least 20 years of contributions.

Inps pension simulation: how it works

The new version of "Think of me" presents a simplified path for entering personal data and social security contributions, the selection of any additional institutions that could anticipate access to retirement (such as the redemption of university qualifications, periods of work abroad, maternity outside the employment relationship, etc.) and the visualization of the possible retirement scenarios. Video tutorials have been created to guide the user along the way, and a new consultancy function to guide the user's choices.

The simulator will soon be updated with respect to the latest legislative changes required by the Budget law for 2023. But how does it work? The new version of the service can be reached from the Institute's website via the following path from home page: "Performance and services" > "Services" > "PensAMI - Pension scenario simulator". The App for mobile devices is also coming. An app version for mobile devices is also expected to be released soon.
