Pd: Bersani does not change line, Renzi is puzzled

The secretary of the Democratic Party to the National Directorate of the party: "Grillo and the 5 Star Movement take their responsibilities and say what they want to do" - With the center-right "no agreement of any kind" - Monti "is unable to make a contribution decisive” – Renzi: the government “will be difficult, but Bersani has the right to make the first move”.

Pd: Bersani does not change line, Renzi is puzzled

“If called, we are ready to propose a government of change based on an essential programme, which will have the task of removing the heaviest barriers between institutions, politics and public opinion and launching urgent social measures. A legislature with diriment and cadenceable commitments ". The leader of the Democratic Party said, Pier Luigi Bersani, speaking at the National Directorate of the party.

Here the eight points of the program: in the first place Bersani puts overcoming the austerity imposed by Europe, then support for work, the reform of politics and its costs, equity, morality, the environment (starting with waste management) i citizenship rights (first of all that for the children of immigrants) and support for school and scientific research.

The secretary then reiterated that the Democratic Party is not "courting" the 5 Star Movement, but the grillini must “take their responsibilities before the country. Anyone who has had the consent of over eight million voters must say what they want to do with these votes for Italy. We cannot reduce ourselves to a proposal on separate waste collection. Do 'Cinque stelle' plan to choose flower from flower, staying out of it? Wait for some kind of self-destruction of the system? Do you expect us to be still and silent? If so, they do the math wrong."

As for the relations with the centre-right, the Democratic Party and the centre-left deem “any form of agreement impracticable – Bersani said again -. We have a responsibility to envisage clear political solutions, there can be no solution beneath the change that the country is calling for, and change cannot be imagined with those who have sown storms up to now".

Finally, talking about the formation of Mario Monti, Bersani stated that "Civic choice is not able to make a decisive contribution to governance despite the presumed centrality with which the system asked us to deal with".

on your part, Matteo Renzi, the great loser of the primaries, swears allegiance to the secretary, but does not hide some signs of perplexity, arguing that a Pd-Pdl government "in a normal country it would not be a scandal, but in Italy it will not happen".

Speaking last night in Ballarò, the mayor of Florence admitted that “after the primaries, the Democratic Party sat down. We were wrong, but I don't like people who stab in the back the next day. What I had to say to Pier Luigi, I said it to his face. And before, not after." In any case, according to Renzi, creating a Pd-M5S government will be "difficult, very difficult, but Bersani has the right to make the first move". After that, "Napolitano will find, wisely, a solution."
