The exhibition "Monet au cœur de la vie" continues, promoted by the Municipality of Pavia and with the patronage of the French Embassy in Italy and the Institut français in Milan and hosted at the Scuderie del Castello Visconteo in Pavia until 2 February 2014. The exhibition, edited by Philippe Cros presents a selection of works from prestigious museums around the world: from the United States of America such as the Columbus Museum of Art (Ohio) to France as the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, from South Africa such as the Johannesburg Art Gallery to Romania as the Mnar of Bucharest up to Latvia as The Latvian National Museum of Art in Riga and from other important international locations.
The public has the opportunity to admire important works by Claude Monet and to retrace the main stages of his artistic production from training to great maturity.
An innovative and emotional exhibition itinerary also offers the visitor an unprecedented approach to the personal sphere of the Master's life, allowing the public to discover the "man" as well as the great artist.
The exhibition is a journey into the heart of Monet's life, told through the voices of six key characters in his human and artistic journey.
The meetings, the successes, as well as the difficult moments have been reconstructed on the basis of precious letters – coming from the Musée des Lettres e de Manuscrits in Paris and exhibited in the exhibition – in which the painter recounts particular moments and moods of his life.
Along the way a series of suggestive video installations they will emotionally prepare the public to relive the fundamental moments of Monet's life and to understand their relationship with the works presented in the exhibition.
The words and the story have been conceived in harmony with the videos, sounds and works of art in order to create the most suitable conditions to stimulate the deepest emotions of the visitor towards a total fruition of Monet's work.
The exhibition therefore offers various interpretations for an original visit experience that will allow the visitor to intensely relive the life and artistic production of one of the greatest Masters of all time who changed the history of art forever.
Even the little ones will be able to approach Monet's impressionist painting thanks to a rich calendar of free educational workshops Dedicated to all children aged 3 to 11:

The workshop is free, lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, can be accessed with the entrance ticket to the exhibition (children up to 6 years free admission) and the reservation on 0382 309879. At the end of the workshop, parents and children will be able to visit the "Monet au cœur de la vie" exhibition independently: an excellent opportunity to spend a fun and educational day together to discover the world of Monet.
