Passports also at the post office: long live, but let's hope that the service will be extended to identity cards which today are a true mirage

It is wonderful news that comes from Poste Italiane which from July will also issue passports in their offices throughout Italy. But why not do it also for identity cards which today are a real torment for citizens?

Passports also at the post office: long live, but let's hope that the service will be extended to identity cards which today are a true mirage

From July i passports they may also be requested or renewed in post offices from all over Italy. Given the chaos and the waiting lists up to 12 months long today, this is great news whose credit goes entirely to the Italian Post Office which is no longer the money-eating bandwagon it once was but which, first under the guidance of Corrado Passera, and now about Matteo Del Fante and Giuseppe Lasco they have been able to renew themselves, reposition themselves and put technologies at the service of citizens. The Polis project, with which the Post Office also brought its services to small municipalities and which, not by chance, was also openly appreciated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, was a breakthrough and an unquestionable success and will be even more so from the summer when it will progressively extend to the whole country for the distribution of passports. But at this point a question arises spontaneously for the Post Office: seeing as how to book to renew one Identity card it is a real Via Crucis for citizens, why not extend the service in post offices also in this field? It would be the end of today's torments with sure applause at the post office
