Flounder: infrastructure for 100 billion by 2013, it can be done

Activate 100 billion of infrastructure interventions by within the term of the legislature, in 2013, is a goal that "appears achievable". This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Corrado Passera, during the presentation of the new site on construction sites in Italy.

In detail, the minister underlined again, “27,7 billion concern projects approved by the CIPE, confirmed works and the southern plan; 24,5 billion for works procedurally unblocked and ready for construction between 2012 and 2013 (about 6,7 billion are still to be found); 50,9 billion for works identified and being studied in order to be ready for construction between 2014 and 2015".

Passera then underlined that “these works create employment, a fundamental objective of our action. We measured with an estimate that the 27,7 billion bring about 400 jobs, of which 280 already stabilized and 100-120 new”.

The objective, explained Passera, “is to activate 100 billion of infrastructural interventions between public, private and community funds. It is an important destination that is worth 5-6% of GDP and can make a difference for the country's growth".
