Passera: after Imu no patrimonial, we will avoid the increase in VAT

After the Imu there is no room for a true patrimonial. On the other hand, it remains confirmed the objective of avoiding the new VAT increase in October through the resources recovered with spending cuts. The Minister of Economic Development said, Corrado Passera, to the microphones of “Radioanch'io”.

“The taxation introduced with the Salva-Italia aims to put a clear and transparent tax on real estate assets – said the minister – trying to reduce the impact as much as possible on smaller real estate properties, therefore a form of asset consistent with the current situation. I personally don't think another big tax today is something to do. The tax burden is already very high, we do not see and would not see room for further interventions”.

Instead, caution on the possibility of lightening the tax burden: “Reducing taxes to those who pay them is our goal – continued the minister -. But it is not conceivable in the short term”.
