After months of closures and bans, the reopening plan arrives which also brings with it an important novelty on travel between Regions.
From 26th April, as announced by Prime Minister Mario Draghi in press conference, the yellow zone will return. From May, travel between Regions included in the bracket subject to minor restrictions will be free.
Those who, on the other hand, will have to move between Regions that are in different bands will need a pass.
TRAVEL PASS: WHAT IT IS
The Travel Pass is nothing more than a certificate that will initially be in paper form and, when fully operational, will become digital. The pass will be used by those who decide to move between Regions located in different brackets (for example from the yellow zone to the orange or red zone) for reasons other than health, work or necessity and will certify:
- that the subject has already undergone Vaccine (both doses for Astrazeneca, Pfizer or Moderna);
- that the subject resulted swab negative (antigenic or molecular) carried out in the 48 hours preceding the trip;
- that the subject has had Covid and recovered: in this case both a serological test and a swab (molecular or antigenic) may be necessary.
In this context, we remind you that there are already several Regions that allow entry within their borders after a swab carried out in the previous 48 hours, also for reasons of health, work or need.
TRAVEL PASS: THE PURPOSE
The inspiration is clear: the vaccination passport presented on 17 March which will soon become essential for traveling between EU countries. The purpose of the Italian pass will be to contain the spread of Covid-19 and above all of its variants. In addition, the certificate will become essential in view of the summer, when it will be possible to move between places located in different areas to go on vacation.
ALSO PASS FOR EVENTS
According to rumors, the same pass will also be used to access cultural and sporting events, when they will finally be able to start again.
