Parmalat, now the Lactalis-branded board arrives

Since yesterday evening, in Collecchio, the president has been Franco Tatò. The term of office of the board of directors has been reduced to one year. The outgoing Board's proposal to distribute free shares to shareholders was also rejected.

"Make the boxes". They may not have just said these words, but the meaning was all there. The raid on the ordinary and extraordinary assembly of the Collecchio group took place yesterday afternoon. About four hours. But already at the beginning of the works it was clear who was in charge: 46,7% of the capital was present in the room, of which over 28% was in French hands.

Enrico Bondi closed with his usual sobriety. He left Palazzo Soragna aboard a Fiat Panda, alongside the now ex-president Raffaele Picella. At the meeting he had given up the baton by formulating a wish for the new Parmalat: "a fruitful and successful journey", he wished the new directors. Given his generous cleanup work, it's a safe bet that he was fully sincere.

The Lactalis list obtained 62,7% of the votes. Franco Tatò is the new president, with a gross remuneration of 1,3 million euros per year (unchanged compared to that of Picella). In addition to him, eight other men enter the "made in France" board of directors. Among these, the president of Lactalis Italia and general manager of Groupe Lactalis, Antonio Sala (in pole position for the position of CEO) and the lawyer Francesco Gatti, legal representative of the Besnier family.
