Parliament - Commissions and Copasir, competition for the photo finish between the parties

Decisive hours for the fate of the parliamentary commissions and Copasir, the control committee of the secret services. On the first front, dozens of seats essential for the functioning of the Chamber and Senate will be assigned: 28 as president, 56 as vice president and 56 as secretary. The settlement is scheduled for tomorrow.

The hottest appointments are the presidency of the standing commissions for Justice and Infrastructure and that of Copasir. The first box is the object of the piousline aims in the Senate, where the center-right would like to place the former minister Francesco Nitto Palma, a name which is disliked both by the Democratic Party and by the Civic Choice, which contrasts him with that of the jurist Gregorio Gitti, full professor of private law in Milan and son-in-law of Giovanni Bazoli.

The match is significant in the first place for the impact it could have on the legal proceedings in which Silvio Berlusconi is involved (just today the Cassation rejected the request of the Cavaliere's lawyers to move the Mediaset and Ruby trials from Milan to Brescia).

On the telecommunications front, however, the Pd would have obtained the withdrawal of the candidacy of Pdl senator Paolo Romani as head of the Infrastructure Commission because his profile is considered too close to the interests of the Cavaliere's companies.

As for the presidency of Copasir, this is the main objective of the 5 Star Movement, which nominates the group leader for the Senate Vito Crimi, but in the end it should be assigned to Ignazio La Russa thanks to the support of the League.
