New, very important success for Park Smart, the Sicilian start-up that allows users to easily find parking via an app. After Edison, which had rewarded it with a loan of 100 thousand euros and free advice from a team of experts as part of the Edison Start competition, now also Amazon bet on Park Smart.
The Sicilian app, in fact, won the first prize of City on a Cloud – “Partners in Innovation” category -, the global competition promoted by Amazon Web Services to identify the best projects in the smart city area based on Cloud technologies, receiving a check for 25 thousand euros.
Park Smart was the only non-American start-up to win the competition and was awarded for the extreme versatility of its Cloud-based configuration and for its innovative video analysis software that informs users of free parking spaces in the areas of their interest .
Furthermore, Amazon has also decided to sign a partnership agreement with the startup led by Giuseppe Patanè, Carlo Sciuto and Pierluigi Buttiglieri, to further expand the project in Southern Europe and the Middle East.
