Paolo Merloni: "I left RCS due to reservations about the Plan"

"I decided to resign from the RCS board of directors because I did not agree with the recapitalization methods and I had reservations on the strategic plan". To say it is Paolo Merloni, entrepreneur at the head of the Ariston Thermo group, who wanted to explain, a year after his decision, the reasons that led him to leave the board of directors of the publishing group, specifying that he had sold all its residual stake in RCS.

Even his father Francesco Merloni wanted to have his say on RCS, calling it "a painful key". “Who brought me into RCS – he explained – was Giovanni Bazoli with the intention of counterbalancing the entry into RCS of the Ligresti at the time when Berlusconi was in government. It wasn't the management of a company but it was a center of power”.

Meanwhile, RCS shares dropped 0,78% in the late morning, during a very negative day for European stock markets.
