Pane Ammore and Tarantella: gastronomy and folklore in Avella

"Pane Ammore e Tarantella", the title says it all: Avella, home of hazelnuts, in the province of Avellino will give life to an enthralling festival of art, entertainment, culture and food and wine, on 15, 16 and 17 November.
“Pane Ammore e Tarantella represents a challenge won in a few years – says the artistic director Roberto d'Agnese. The initial idea was to create a meeting point between traditions and gastronomic excellence and, within a few years, the goal was achieved, managing to record the presence of over 100 stands this year together with artistic expressions of the Irpinian, Salerno and Neapolitan tradition, as well as the Street Bands that will enliven the historic center with a strong artistic and musical impact. They will be three unmissable days, able to represent a showcase, or a synthesis of the excellence of the territory, from historical sites to gastronomy. I am sure that the thousands of people who will come to Avella for this edition will not miss the opportunity to experience the many excellences that Avella has to offer in the best possible way.
“We are enthusiastic about this edition, an innovative event that will include different elements and different “events within the event” – says Mariangela Sorice, president of the “Pane Ammore e Tarantella” association -. In addition to the numerous food stands where dishes will be prepared according to our tradition, and the many stands of true craftsmanship that will be present, we have paid much attention to the art
The numbers give a good idea of what visitors will expect: three stages with over 150 artists and exceptional Street Bands and over 100 stands among the excellence of gastronomy and craftsmanship, a schedule full of initiatives, shows, moments dedicated to children , exhibitions and guided tours of the historical and artistic heritage of Avella. The true protagonist of this edition will be tradition, from the Irpinia to the Neapolitan up to the Salerno one, represented by numerous artists and groups, the beating heart of the event, together with the tarantella lessons and the many artists who, as per tradition, will perform in the gates of the historic centre.

Saturday at 11 am opening of the stands and at 17 pm in the program "The kidnapping of the senses ... The 50 shades of red", wine tasting.
