The antics of the presidents have already blown up many benches: the latest were those of Zenga and Iachini – But the earthquake will arrive in the summer when Conte leaves the national team: Juve is ready to reopen their doors for him but Milan and Chelsea are also courting him – Ancelotti , Guardiola and Mourinho the stars who will lead the waltz of the benches in Europe

HOT BENCHES – Conte, Ancelotti, Guardiola and Mourinho: the sparks of the market to come

The vortex has (re) begun. Once again the break for the national teams, rather than for the commitments of the same, has risen to the fore due to the jolts on the Serie A benches, present and future. Yes, because there are not only Sampdoria and Palermo, the last in order of time to change coach: in fact, few can say they are safe from the tantrums of our presidents. Also because the latest events show that not even results can secure a bench by now. This is the case of Zenga and Iachini, the first exonerated despite the 10th place in the standings (in line with Samp's goals), the second after the victory (!) obtained against Chievo. In short, these coaches may well be well paid but they just can't rest assured.

But even here there are exceptions. Take Antonio Conte, just to give an illustrious example. His blue bench is highly armored until the next European Championship and if it were for Tavecchio it would also be in the future. However, all the clubs, Italian and otherwise, have their eyes on him. Milan, Juventus and Chelsea especially like the coach, while at the moment Rome, Naples and PSG seem to have left the scene, all more than satisfied with their respective coaches. It is no secret that Berlusconi is a great admirer of his (he has already tried to get him twice without success), while the newfound feeling with Andrea Agnelli or the interest of Roman Abramovich, until recently very close to the “his” Mourinho. Obviously, the last word will be up to the person directly concerned, but we can bet that he will be the big contender for next summer.

The other big Italian who could upset the market-coaches is definitely Carlo Ancelotti. Here, however, barring sensational twists and turns, it will only be discussed abroad. In fact, it is unlikely that Carletto will be able to return to Serie A: if he had wanted him, he would already have been on the Milan bench for several months. Easier to see him in the Premier League or, alternatively, in the Bundesliga. Much, if not everything, will depend on Guardiola: if Pep goes to City, Bayern will contact Ancelotti, if the Catalan stays in Germany, the English one will be the most accredited track. Attention then to Josè Mourinho, who could become the loose cannon par excellence. If his relationship with Chelsea, as it seems, is interrupted, the Special One will once again appeal to several top teams.

But all this is of little interest to the majority of our technicians, who are forced to earn their wages game after game. The next to jump, numbers in hand, could be Mandorlini, whose Veronese future seems to be hanging by a thread. The good Andrea will play his last hopes against Napoli, precisely on the Sunday in which Montella and Ballardini will make their debuts with Sampdoria and Palermo. All while waiting for the next exemptions: those, in fact, are a real certainty. Regardless of the results.
