"No agreement, either manifest or hidden, has ever taken place between Palladio and Assicurazioni Generali (or representatives of the latter's management) in relation to the investment made by Palladio in Fonsai and the proposals made in relation to this company by Palladio itself and from Sator”. Roberto Meneguzzo, head of the financial Palladio, writes it in a letter addressed to Corriere della Sera.
“Palladio has never been controlled by Assicurazioni Generali, which has never even held shares in PFH1 – continues Meneguzzo -. In the light of the foregoing, it is extremely defamatory to accuse Palladio of not having adequately informed ISVAP or the Antitrust Authority about the alleged, and in reality non-existent, role of Assicurazioni Generali in relation to the Fonsai affair”.
