Pay taxes, fines and bills via smartphone. Today it is possible with Bancomat Pay, the service launched at the beginning of the year by the Agency for Digital Italy, the Digital Transformation Team, Bancopmat Spa and Intesa Sanpaolo. In fact, since March Bancomat Pay has joined PagoPA, the single management system for electronic payments for the Public Administration.
Developed by the Agency for Digital Italy and the Digital Transformation Team, PagoPA it is not a site to pay, but a way to make payments to the Public Administration electronically. Up to now it could only be used at branches or through the home banking of participating credit institutions, at ATMs (if enabled), at the post office or in Sisal, Lottomatica and Banca 5 points of sale.
But be careful: not all public administrations nor all banks give citizens this possibility, so before paying, it is advisable to check:
- thelist of Public Administration Entities adhering to PagoPA
- thelist of Payment Service Providers (PSP) adhering to pagoPA
As for Pay ATM – thanks to an agreement with Sia, the system integrates the Jiffy service – since the beginning of the year it allows PagoBancomat cardholders to pay in stores and on e-commerce and send and receive money in real time from their smartphone simply using their own number mobile phone. Now, by joining PagoPA, Bancomat Pay also allows you to make payments to the public administration via smartphone.
Intesa Sanpaolo is the first payment service provider that will offer the service to all ATM Pay customers, even if they are not Intesa customers. Payments are made in real time, with a simple confirmation on your mobile phone of the operation requested through the institution's website. The transfer then takes place following the usual rules in force for PagoPA.
"The entry of Bancomat Pay into PagoPA - explains Alessandro Zollo, Managing Director of Bancomat Spa - will allow all BANCOMAT Pay customers to use the new service, regardless of the bank they belong to, through the same channels as the banks or through the website website PagoPA".
PagoPA has recorded over 10 million transactions on its platform, with a growth rate of 219% compared to 2017.
