Mobile payments, biometric signature and concessions for current accounts: the Unicredit news

Italians are using smartphones and tablets more and more and are therefore asking for a digital and multi-channel banking offer: Unicredit has understood this and is launching three innovations - With Subito Banca, in partnership with Samsung, a current account with zero-interest financing is opened for Galaxy S4 or Note – FirmaMia is the first graphometric authentication and then the Mobile Payment app.

Mobile payments, biometric signature and concessions for current accounts: the Unicredit news

There is – for once – a statistical item in which Italy is at the top in Europe, second only to the UK and Spain: that, especially in 2013 with a great boom compared to the previous year, in the use of smartphones and tablets. More than half of Italians own the former, now 16% (compared to 10% in 2012) the latter.

What if by now even a pc seems outdated, let alone a bank teller where maybe to queue, and only in pre-established places and times. This was understood by Unicredit, which has long been committed to the digitization and simplification of its offer, which today presented three other innovative services to the public and the press: Immediately Bank, FirmaMia and Mobile Payment.

Noting that with the internet and mobile phones, customers have more "touchpoints" with their bank (branches have recorded a -20% of contacts in the last decade) and are therefore predisposed to a multi-channel offer, Piazza Cordusio has devised a strategy on three fronts: check the bank, through advanced systems to "remote control" your account and have detailed supervision of your expenses in real time; "enter" the bank, through the dialogue and advice that are transferred online; and especially carry around the bank, through the purchase of goods or services directly on tablets and smartphones.

So here are the three novelties: first of all the biometric signature, the first service based on graphometric authentication through Signpad of the signature, which will be translated into a totally secure, unique and unrepeatable encrypted profile, and recognized every time the customer signs a contract or an accounting provision. over the next few weeks the initiative will be available in 64 branches in the main Italian cities, to then progressively extend, over the following months, to the entire network of agencies throughout the country.

Then Piazza Cordusio also came up with the new app for online payment (already 3 million customers who use it with satisfaction): with Mobile Payment, customers will be able to transform their smartphone into a "virtual wallet" and use it to pay (via QR code, NFC, mobile token) in all contexts, traditional and online, always having the opportunity to check the expenses incurred , to check the remaining balance on the account and, subsequently, to use coupons and loyalty programs automatically.

It will be sufficient to create a personalized profile in 5 simple steps to register for the service. Just as it will be very easy to access the mother of all Unicredit news: Subito Banca allows – in a single solution – the opening of a current account, the opening of a zero-interest loan for the purchase of a tablet or smartphone (thanks to the unprecedented partnership with Samsung, the choice is between a brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 or a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 3G.) and the activation of a set of applications optimized for speed and ease of use.

To complete these initiatives, which create an increasingly close relationship between the bank and the user, Unicredit launches digitization month in June: 50 free banking education courses of the In-formati program "My bank in one click" will be held in 100 Italian cities - in Unicredit branches - to help customers and non-customers discover the advantages and ease of use of the different channels . Also in this case the attention will be focused on the use of internet and mobile technologies. For further information and registration, the website www.unicredit.it/informati is active.
