Padoan: "In 2015 Italy out of the recession"

The minister underlined that "unfortunately unemployment has grown, but this happens normally, given that work always follows the trend of growth: when this improves, in the coming months, employment will rise again".

“Italy is in recession for three years: last year it faded and this year it will disappear”. You said it yesterday in Strasbourg, the Minister of the Treasury, Pier Carlo Padoan.

The number one in via XX Settembre then underlined that “unfortunately the unemployment it has grown, but this happens normally, given that work always follows the trend of growth: when this improves, in the coming months, employment will rise again”. 

As for the public finances, “my concern is the debt Italian – added Padoan -, which however is totally under control”. 

In terms of the measures put in place by the government, "I believe that with the constraints imposed by compliance with EU rules and with the enormous debt that Italy finds itself, the stability Law make a very important and positive contribution to growth and employment – ​​continued the minister -. This is a strongly expansive maneuver, which reduces taxes in an out of the ordinary way and which will encourage companies to hire more. I still believe the future will be much better." 

As for the situation in Europe, Padoan said he was convinced that it is “important to continue working for a solid, united euro, with the countries contributing their share. Growth in 2015 will be better and so will debt sustainability”.
