Padoan at the economy festival: the South is growing more than other regions of Italy

“The South is growing, even more than other regions in the rest of Italy. This means that the South has enormous potential that is perhaps not evenly distributed”.

This was stated by Pier Carlo Padoan, Minister of Economy and Finance who spoke today at "Economia Come", the festival promoted by Invitalia in Rome at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

"There has always been a southern question since our country unified, but now we are starting to see important results".

On the festival promoted by Invitalia, Minister Padoan added: “It is certainly a very effective initiative that fits into a general context that the government certainly evaluates positively. We have given life to a financial education project, and we think that these events too can help citizens to be more aware of the world of finance which concerns us all, not just the specialists”.

The southern question and the growth of the South will be at the center of the final debate, Sunday 19 November at 19.00, entitled "There is no longer the South than once". Speakers Domenico Arcuri, managing director of Invitalia and Salvatore Rossi, general manager of the Bank of Italy.
