Padoan to Draghi: "Rates should have already been cut"

Rates had to be lowered in the Eurozone. This was said by Piercarlo Padoan, deputy secretary general and chief economist of the OECD, who, as a guest on Radio1 Rai's "The economy first of all", commented on yesterday's ECB decisions: "There is room to lower rates in the euro zone”, adding that “according to the OECD, a similar choice should perhaps have already been made”.

According to Padoan, "Draghi's words yesterday seem to allude to precisely this, that is, an imminent cut in the cost of money".
