Out of the plastic, artists on the pitch with Club Unesco in Naples

An exhibition promoted with the Unesco Clubs of Naples and Bisceglie with well-known and lesser-known artists. A tribute to Puglia and its traditions.

An artistic message on the fight against plastics starts from Naples, in the midst of a newfound environmental sensitivity. In Domenichino's historic apartment, in via Duomo 149, the art exhibition "OUT OF PLASTIC and the rediscovery of the wonders of the Earth" is open, an event organized by the Clubs for UNESCO of Bisceglie. The ancient capital of the South and the Apulian town are united by the work of dozens of talents in a cultural journey of extraordinary relevance.

Artists, photographers, musicians, goldsmiths, known and less known, together in a social commitment with schools and public bodies. They await visitors in the historic center of Naples until November 23rd, the final day of the Exhibition. For Bisceglie the works of the 2nd "Caputi" didactic circle, a school associated with UNESCO and those of Luigi Basile, Davide Bellaggi, Pina Catino, Vincenzo De Sario, Assunta Fino, Federica Francia, Giacomo Gesmundo, Giacomo Nello Stefano Miale, are exhibited. Luigi Palmiotti, Vitoronzo Pastore, Angelo Perrini, Amedeo Persi, Roberto Sibilano. For the city of Naples exhibiting: Renato Aiello, Loretta Bartoli, Francisco Antonio Basile Pascale, Stefania Colizzi, Carlo Cottone, Fortunato Danise, Carmine De Gregorio, Giovanni Di Cecca, Raffaele Giustino, Pasquale Manzo, Luciana Mascia, Aurora Micieli De Biase, Sabrina Montuoro, Francesco Rosa, Roger Peeraerts, Dario Pegna, , Silvia Schettino, Arturo Vastarelli. The professor. Fortunato Danise took care of the artistic direction.

It's not just the jobs, of course. The encounter between two such important southern realities has stimulated and produced moments of discussion on ancient traditions. Prof. Fortunato Danise – President of the UNESCO Club of Naples has the opportunity to talk about The Art of Terracotta in San Gregorio Armeno. Pina Catino, President of the UNESCO Club of Bisceglie, for her part illustrates "The report of Monsignor Bisceglia" on the knowledge of the state of ceramics in the Province of Bari. In the early nineteenth century Monsignor Bisceglia wrote about the main production centers of pottery in the Bari area. A precious testimony still alive in dozens of workshops and artisan workshops.

Puglia is well represented in this exhibition also with a section curated by the Italian Society of Environmental Geology. Another interesting photographic exhibition itinerary with environmental and landscape connotations, which highlights uncontaminated areas such as the Alta Murgia, the Gargano National Park. We are faced with the only Italian region that has three different geological areas - Gargano, Murge and Salento - all involved in the formation of the southern Apennine chain. A geodiversity heritage of scholars and geologists that contaminates arts and traditions. Thus we understand that the message of Out of plastic, in this exhibition context, is entrusted to the good will of those who must know how to preserve this heritage
