Simone Bellotti is the new creative director of Jil Sander, brand acquired in 2021 by the group otb by Renzo Rosso.

The announcement comes directly from the company. Bellotti takes over from creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier with immediate effect, and his appointment comes just over a month after that ofCEO Serge Brunschwig, allowing him to continue the brand development path.

Who is Simone Bellotti? 

Bellotti held the role of creative director of Bally, where he brought a new perspective and artistic influence. Raised in Milan, the designer then moved to Antwerp, where he was immersed in a dynamic reality of bold creatives. With a path that led him to cover various roles at AF Vandervorst, Gianfranco Ferrè, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, as well as a 16-year stint at Gucci.

Bellotti “has developed a meticulous attention to detail, interpreting archive references with an innovative approach,” the press release underlines, recalling that the new creative director draws inspiration from art, photography and music.

Otb President Renzo Rosso said: “Simone begins this new journey with a vast experience and a distinctive talent. In the time we spent together, we shared the strategic vision and mission of Jil Sander, the values ​​of innovation and sophistication that distinguish it and make it an iconic and unique brand in the world”. 

The designer said: “I am incredibly honored to join Jil Sander, a historic maison that has created a new aesthetic.”
