Works by Dalí and music by Pink Floyd in an immersive exhibition in Paris

The new immersive exhibition “Dalí, the puzzle without end” (“Dali: the infinite enigma”) represents more than sixty years of career of the Catalan master, who developed and invented various artistic styles. The path in which the viewer is involved includes surreal and metaphysical landscapes immersed in the surprising and highly imaginative works of the artist.

Exhibited and animated on floors and walls ten meters high, visitors will be able to observe every detail of the brushstrokes, lines and material effects. Paintings, drawings, photographs, installations, film clips and archival images will focus on the unique personality of the mustachioed painter, as well as his obsessions with the strange and supernatural, and his fascination with his wife Gala, his muse and collaborator. Emblematic masterpieces, such as The Persistence of Memory, The Face of Mae West (Can be used as a Surrealist Apartment), Atomic Leda and The Temptation of Saint Anthony, highlight Dalí's immense talent as creator of new languages and unique canvases, inspired by the greatest masters of painting, from Velasquez, Raphael, Michelangelo, Vermeer and Millet.

This exhibition focuses on the various facets of the artist's approach: from his early Impressionist and Cubist inspired works to his mystical works with their religious themes, from his Surrealist period to his work with theatre, photography and cinema. More than thirty years after his death, Dalí and his “Paranoiac-critical method” they still resonate today. Visitors can see the painter's hallucinations and dreamlike delirium from a new perspective, which he channeled into works of art. “Dalí, l'énigme sans fin” (“Dali: the infinite riddle”), which lasts for about forty minutes, reflects the painter's inner world in an almost hypnotic atmosphere. The entire digital exhibit is set to the music of Pink Floyd.

And this is how painting and music share a fantastic visual imagery, where obsessive visions and technical virtuosity can be merged. Dalí's deep colors and expansive, voluminous forms emerge on the walls to the sound of tracks from legendary albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, immersing visitors in a soaring, peaceful and eerie world. This retrospective exhibition associated with the music of the legendary group of the 60s will take visitors on a timeless journey that awakens the subconscious and buried thoughts, where Dalí's work remains an endless mystery and enigma. A creation by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto, Massimiliano Siccardi with the collaboration of the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí.

“Gaudí: the architect of the imaginary”: this creation, presented after “Dalí, the infinite enigma” will pay tribute to the ingenious architect through his modernist buildings which have now been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. He accompanies visitors on a journey that embraces dream and reality, from Parc Güell to Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and the Sagrada Família.
