Open Fiber expands ultra-fast fiber in Puglia

Open Fiber brings ultra-fast fiber to Barletta, Molfetta and Bitonto. “The launch of the connectivity services – explains the company led by Elisabetta Ripa in a note – is a first step in the cabling plans developed by the company”. There are about 23 real estate units already set up and in the coming months in the three Apulian towns another 73 properties will be covered for an investment of 22 million euros.

Open Fiber is cabling Barletta, Molfetta and Bitonto in FTTH (Fiber To The Home) mode, making available a 1 Gbps connection speed (up to 1 Gigabit per second)thus allowing maximum performance.

The three centers are thus added to the other Apulian cities already equipped with an ultra-fast network Bari, Taranto, Foggia, Brindisi, Lecce and Manfredonia. Tiscali, Vodafone and Wind Tre these are the partner companies that currently manage the marketability of FTTH fiber services in the three cities.

News also in Cesano Maderno, in the province of Milan: Open Fiber will invest 4 million euros for interventions for the construction of an ultra-broadband telecommunications network in optical fiber. The new network will connect more than 10 real estate units in FTTH mode via around 7 kilometers of optical fiber and thus guarantee performance that cannot be achieved with current copper or mixed fibre-copper networks.
